“I am constantly in the process of defining and delineating the boundaries between buildings and community”
Deepa is a Masters of Architecture student from the University of Michigan, an aspiring architectural designer. Being heavily inspired by architecture that is designed to choreograph the human experience, she believes that it is the smaller aspects, such as: door/window frame details, material choices, color palettes, etc. that contribute to the wholesomeness of a designed environment.
The way people interact with designed spaces, and their subsequent interfaces with community are key points that have driven her design decisions, as seen in all her projects.
Having worked for over two years in the architectural field, she realized that her areas of passion are community inspired design, contextual materiality, and graphics (presentation driven), and absolutely loves working on the same.
